Recorded on 04-13-03 at The Noise Chamber in Rockford, Illinois, Dead
End marked the beginning of a new era for the Merkins. Having recently
taken on a female lead The Merkins entered the studio determined to
define their already distinctive sound. What emerged was a collection of
elegantly raw and distinguished tracks. They followed with numerous
high energy shows all over Northern Illinois. In 2004 their hard work
paid off when they won a R.A.M.I. award (Rockford Area Music Industry)
for best song with "Superglue". The Merkins continue to tour and are
currently in the process of recording a new album. In the meantime check
