April 30th, 2007 - New Show Date and New Album Update!!!

     ■ Hello Merkination! Make sure you check out the Merkins this June 14th at
         The Brickyard Tavern (Formerly The Rail) in Mt Morris, Il. This will be the
         The Merkins first show at the newly remodeled pub and let me tell ya, the
         place looks great! There's no cover so come on down and party with
         The Merkins! Also, the new (still untitled) Merkin album is nearing release
         time. The final touches are being put on the record so keep your eyes
         and ears peeled!

November 16th, 2007 - Thanksgiving Show!

     ■ Be sure to check out the Merkins next Saturday, November 24th @ LT's
         in Rockford Illinois! Special Guest for the evening is CHETT. Show starts
         at 9:00 and it will only set you back $5 at the door. This will be the last
         show before the release of the new Merkins record! Check it out!

July 11th, 2007 - New Show Date Added!

     ■ Hey All, The Merkins have added a new show date for August! Come
         check out the Merkins on August 17th @ the Polo Room in Polo, Illinois
         with Axiom. Show starts @ 9:00 P.M. $5 cover at the door. See you there!

May 28th, 2007 - New Show Date Added!

     ■ The Merkins have added a new show date! Check us out on June 15th
         @ Otto's Nightclub in Dekalb, Illinois. Doors open @ 8:00. The Merkins
         will be playing alongside Chicago-based The Silents.

May 5th, 2007 - New Merkins' Record!

      ■ Recording is in full swing on the yet untitled upcoming Merkins' record.
          Drums and Bass are complete with most of the Guitar tracks in the bag
          as well. We are still expecting a mid-summer release. Stay tuned
          for more info!

May 1st, 2007 - New Rule for Message Board

     ■ Yeah we know, we hate rules too! Due to recent spamming on the message board
          you now have to log in before you can view the message board. If you haven't
          registered yet please do! We want to hear from all you crazy MerkinFans!

April 15th, 2007 - New show dates added!

      ■ The Merkins have added two new show dates this year. The first is June 16th
          at Union Station in Byron, Illinois. Show starts @ 5:00. Union Station is always
          a great time so we hope to see you there. The second show added is on August
          11th @ Dutch's Hideaway in Dixon, Il. Show starts @ 9:00 P.M.

April 1st, 2007 - Battle of the Bands results

■ The Merkins gave it a gallant effort but fell just short of the prize. A special
congratulations go out to "Kirkland" for taking home 1st place.

March 31st, 2007 - The Merkins Win!

      ■ As you probably have heard by now the Merkins won their preliminary round of the
          Battle of the bands. They have earned themselves a spot in the finals to be played
          at the Rockford Ice Hog's game on March 30th. Come on out and cheer your Merkins
          on to victory. Good Luck Guys!
